East Troublesome Fire

On the night of Oct. 21, 2020, the East Troublesome Fire burned about 87,000 acres in Grand County, Colorado, then jumped the Continental Divide. I mapped it three ways: an interactive map where you can play back every mapped perimeter and see when each spot burned, a 30-second animated map built in After Effects, and a two-page magazine spread laid out in InDesign.
